A view inside my parents’ new lakefront cottage in Westport, Canada.
The view from the Adirondack chairs in the cottage’s front yard.
A really dramatic sky on the Upper Rideau Lake just before a storm.
Another dramatic sky on the Upper Rideau Lake… this one was a sunset.
Stephanie!
I was just passing time on the computer (the electrician has been here FOREVER!) and I was looking at some craft group on Flickr and there you were!!! Or rather there was this adorable spun cotton skelly and it said Old World Primitives. I guess I haven’t checked in with you since the end of June, can it really be that long?! Where does the time go? I just skimmed your most recent two entries and I’ll look forward to catching up with you and your new plans. And of course I’ll be wanting one of your darling skellies. 🙂
Happy weekend to you,
Sally
Hi Sally,
The summer has just flown by, hasn’t it?? It has been a whirlwind of changes-in-plans for me, followed up by some much needed lakeside relaxation… and now it’s back to prepping for the holidays. I must go over to catch up with you on your blog as well!
Stephanie
Wow, scary storm clouds. Looks like they are just about to descend and take over. Great photos Stephanie. Love the scenery. What a great place for your holiday.
Hi Cathy,
Those storm clouds turned the lake into what looked more like a storm scene from coastal Florida very shortly after that photo was taken (which thankfully blew over quickly). I love it up in Canada… and will be going back again in a few days!
