I just finished creating a new set of 6 vintage style chenille Halloween ornaments. The set includes two of each style pictured below, and they are available now on Old World Primitives and in the Old World Primitives Etsy shop.

WSOAPP Grand Opening!

wsoapp grand openingNow that I am back from climbing mountains, I would like to announce that the WSOAPP Market Street Shoppes are now officially open for business! You can either click on each member’s avatar or click on our business name links in the right hand sidebar to visit our shoppes. My new witch make-do is now available for sale in my Old World Primitives WSOAPP shoppe.

WSOAPP also has our first advertisement on page 89 of the Early American Life Christmas issue, which just hit newsstands and subscriber mailboxes this week. Early American Life has been one of my very favorite magazines for awhile now, so I am so excited to have our group’s ad featured on one of its pages.

Look What I Won!

I am so excited that I was chosen as one of the SIX lucky winners in the Soft in the Head blog giveaway! It was so sweet of Pam to add an additional three prizes to the three that she was already giving away. Here is Pam’s photo of my prize. 🙂

Thank you, Pam!!

Also, just a reminder that the Grand Opening of the WSOAPP Market Street Shoppes will be taking place on September 7th, just 4 days from now. Be sure to check out what we have to offer this coming Sunday! Old World Primitives will be closed starting tomorrow while I take a week long holiday, but I will be back on September 12th to resume responding to inquiries and shipping orders. Have a great week, and good luck to all of my fellow WSOAPP members next week!

Blog Award

Tracy of Farm Girl Dreamer was nice enough to present this award to me the other day:

I Love Your Blog award

Thank you so much, Tracy! It was a really nice surprise to receive this award from you. Now I need to pass the award onto 7 other blogs – it is extremely difficult for me to pick just 7 since I have such a long list of favorites, so here are 7 of my favorites at random:

I will have more new creations to share again soon too!  This month I have been busy working on custom orders, goodies for the WSOAPP Halloween swap (my package went out on Friday, I hope my swap partner enjoys it!), and new dolls for the September 7th launch of my WSOAPP shoppe.  I just finished a primitive witch for my shoppe and hope to be able to finish at least one other new doll in time for our grand opening.  Unfortunately I have vacation plans overlapping our launch date, but I will get everything set up before I leave, and respond to any orders/inquiries when I return home on September 11th.

A New Fall Look for WSOAPP

The Whispered Secrets of a Primitive Past (WSOAPP) group that I am a part of has a new fall/Halloween theme on our homepage! Mare and Brenda have done such a great job of making the site look amazing. And I am so honored to have one of my primitive cats featured in the new website banner!

Stay tuned to the WSOAPP homepage, we have some exciting new things in store for everyone starting next month. September 7th will mark the Grand Opening of the group’s Member Shoppes, which will be linked from WSOAPP.com.

Country Living

I am back from Canada and ready to start working on the custom orders that await me – while I get back to the sewing machine, here are some photos from my trip that I have to share.

Primitive Folk Art Sisters

I am back from my first of two July vacations for a few days and am squeezing in some new creations while I am back home. Here is a sneak peek at the latest offering from Old World Primitives – a pair of primitive sisters. One is an angel, and one is a witch.

The pair are joined together and each has a string for hanging. I created these primitive dolls using a Netty LaCroix pattern. The sisters will be available for sale soon in the shops listed under “Where to Find My Work” at the upper right of this blog.

Vintage Style Halloween Folk Art Ornaments

Due to the popularity of my first set of chenille Halloween ornaments, I decided to create some more spooky new ornies. This set is also an Old World Primitives design and includes two of each design pictured, for a total of 6 ornaments in the set.
